Specialized shops are more and more numerous, bikes are getting cheaper and as you may know, to charge your ebike, you just need a standard plug.
The electric bike is indeed becoming more and more popular but still, we do not see many of them in our streets.
What about you, have you ever ridden an electric bike? Have you got one? What are the pros and cons of this kind of bike?

Here in Paris there are more and more ebike and, to be honest, I am a bit jalous when I am riding my "classic" bike. I am just waiting for a bit of sun to buy my own ebike then. If you guys have a favorite brand or model, please do let us know ;)
Eco- Great post we appreciate you noticing the change Electric Bikes have on the environment.
People have been demanding the electric bike for a long-time. The biggest hold back was quality of manufacturers and specifications that don't make sense to the consumer.
I hope you recognize the fact Stealth is somewhat unique in our offering. Offering power and quality/service you just don't get anymore. Our products are made in our factories then receive a stamp of approval. Followed up with service from quality dealers and distributors world wide.
Not just a factory with no location and no one to talk to and a low price.
This is your transportation and you deserve the highest quality. Something that is fun in the downtime as well!
From personal experience, I will say that the electric bike I ride has changed my life. If someone told me I would be commuting 26 miles a day on a bike, I would laugh at them. However that is exactly what I do, rain or shine. Buying an electric bike can be tricky in the current market. If you do a web search you will quickly become overwhelmed with what seems to be an endless supply of "the best" bikes. The best thing you can do for yourself is to shop locally at an establishment that has experience, variety and a good service department. Not many regular bike shops will work on electric bikes, and if they do, they may not have proper tools and training.
An electric bike can change your life, but here in America, letting go of your car can be a scary thing. However if you take it slow, and look at not as a replacement for your car, rather a supplement for short trips/errands, you will find great pleasure in the change it brings.
The electric bike is fine, especially for hilly terrain, but it doesn't help in bad weather or cold. A more versatile solution is the BugE. (www.BugEv.net) It has three wheels and a fairing that keeps the rain off and reduces wind chill. It also can go up to 100 miles and 50 mph with LiFe batteries. It costs about as much as a Vespa and is sold as a kit in the USA. It also can carry more.
Electric bikes are clean, green, save money and are a great way to get exercise. Ours go 20+ miles on a single charge, and the motor is virtually silent. With all the customizable classic styles of the bikes, most people don't even know they are electric! -Pedego, http://pedegoelectricbikes.com
