Conducting a LCA Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of a product or service requires a rigorous methodology. It consists in analyzing in detail the impacts on resource depletion and human health and the ecological impacts on air, water and waste. All these impact categories are calculated throughout the different stages of a product’s life, namely from the extraction of the raw materials to the end-of-life, passing through the production of the product to its use phase. LCA therefore enables comparison between products.
