Sharing your car is a great way to travel green, in good company, and to save money. Carpooling involves many people riding together and splitting the cost of the journey—not to be confused with carshares. Instead of having a private car that remains in the garage most of the time, an individual who uses a car sharing service conveniently uses a vehicle only for the duration of their need. The rest of the time, the car is used by other members of the car share service.
