hard to say…the price is cheap, but I am quite sure that people will still keep their own car… so the city congestion will not be reduced.

Autolib has the same intentions as “personal rapid transit” -systems without solving the mobility-problem! The only problem that is solved, is the “parking your car”-problem! When there is congestion, autolib will not be faster then ordinary transit! “Personal rapid transit” that is on a separate guideway will solve the mobilityproblem! An example is http://ecomobility.tv/2011/02/23/personal-rapid-transit-masdar-city/ or http://www.ultraglobalprt.com/ ! But there are more! In certain situations gondolas can be even the solution!
But I understand that it is difficult to implement such systems in old city’s! there is no simple solution!
